The Santa María Cathedral has reorganized the winter timetable to reinforce the periods of time that receive the most visits

23/10/2009 The new timetable will become effective tomorrow, Saturday. It will open earlier in the morning and on weekends the guided tours are extended

Vitoria-Gasteiz, 23rd October 2009.- Starting tomorrow -Saturday- visitors to the Santa María Cathedral will have a new timetable which seeks to reinforce the sections with more demand and offer an improved service to visitors. With the winter schedule it will open earlier in the morning and the number of guided tours during weekends will be extended.
Now that the summer season -period during which the amount of visitors on working days and holidays hardly differs- is over, the Santa María Cathedral has adjusted its visiting hours to accomodate the greater amount of people interested in visiting the temple during certain times of the day. The new winter timetables, which will become effective tomorrow, Saturday, will offer tours of the cathedral Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 14:00 pm, and from 16:00 pm to 19:00 pm. On Saturdays and holidays the guided tours will start at 10:00 am, until 14.30 pm, and from 16:00 pm to 19.30 pm. On Sundays the timetable will be from 10:00 am to 14.30 pm and from 16:00 pm to 19:00 pm. Thus, weekends and holidays have reinforced timetables, even offering the possibility of creating extra groups during these days if necessary. And the evening timetable is shortened, as in winter very few people visited the cathedral late in the afternoon. Likewise, the open visits to the nave, without a guide, may be carried out on weekends. Further information and bookings: 945 255 135 / www.catedralvitoria.com
