The Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation organises on July a new edition of the children workshop

2010/06/16 The novelty this year will be the visit to the Valle Salado ( Salt Valley). It is possible to make a reservation calling to 945 255135 or at the Visitors Reception Centre.

             Vitoria- Gasteiz, Juny 11st 2010.- The Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation has organised as usual a new edition of the Chidrens´Workshop for summer on July. The duration will be of one week and there will be three different weeks to choose. This year there is a novelty and it is the visit to the Valle Salado of Añana for discovering the world of the salt. This workshops are dedicated to the children between 8 and 11 years old and they will begin on July 5th till July 23rd ( each workshop has a duration of one week).The schedule will be from 10.00am till 13.00pm, except for the last day that will finish at 2.00pm because of the visit to Salinas de Añana. The workshops are bilingual as usual ( spanish and basque).      
        The first day is called ´Hello Cathedral´ and the children will experiment a first contact with the cathedral, the monitors and other participants. In the second day ,called ´Defend the medieval wall´, they will learn about the materials, it´s function and the constructive technics. The third day is called ´Build your cathedral´ and after visiting the interior and exterior of the cathedral, theu will build a model. Thursday will be dedicated to the stained glass windows and after  visiting Mr. Mikel Delika´s studio they will make a window with papers. As we have mentioned before, the last day will be dedicated to the Valle Salado of Añana and they will learn everything about the salt.As there are a limited amount of vacancies, a prior booking is required at the Visitor Reception Centre ( Plaza de las Burullerías) or by calling 945 255 135

Deportivo Alaves Campus

The children that will take part in the summer campus of the ´Deportivo Alaves´ will visit the cathedral and the medieval wall on Wednesday in the afternoon, and they will also play to a track game.
