Ars Combinatoria closes on Saturday the concerts for celebrating St. James Year in the Santa María Cathedral

2010/07/21 The tickets are available at the Cathedral´s Store ( Las Escuelas St., 11) for 3€ and for 1€ for the members of the Founders Circle.

                       Vitoria- Gasteiz, 21st July 2010.- The group Ars Combinatoria coming from Galicia will offer a concert this Saturday in the Santa Maria Cathedral for celebrating St. James Year. The concert will begin at 08.00pm in the central nave, and they will perform the program ´Hispanic medieval codes through the St. James Way´. In collaboration with the Spanish Society for Cultural Commemorations and the Basque Goverment, the Santa Maria Cathedral has also celebrated St. James Year. The groups Speculum and Odhecaton have also offered concerts during this month of July.

Ars Combinatoria was born on 1991 for singing polyphonies of the spanish XVIth century, medieval poems and performing J.S. Bach. The group has nowadays more than sixty singers, and has one instrumental part and another vocal part that can appear together or alone.

Directed by Canco López, in their concert at Santa Maria Cathedral,  they will perform the program ´Hispanic Medieval codes through St. James Way´ with four women´s voices and seven  men´s voices´.

The ticket are available at the Cathedral´s Store ( Las Escuelas St., 11) for 3€. For the members of the Founders Circle the price is of 1€.
