Santa Maria Cathedral will organise in the future new workshops about traditional heritage restoration techniques after the success of the first one

2010/11/09 The theorical session, that it was opened to the public, was celebrated in Montehermoso Cultural Centre

               Vitoria- Gasteiz, 9th November 2010.- The first workshop about traditional heritage restoration techniques organised by Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation in collaboration with the High Decoration School of Rute ( Córdoba) and Ega Paintings, has been a great success, and the organisation has decided to repeat this experience. The theoretical session was done in the Montehermoso Cultural Centre because of the most of fifty participants, and the practical one had 18 participants and a large waiting list. The aim of this workshop, given by the director of Aldecort, Manuel Garcia, was to promote the knowledge about the construction systems and the lime( one of the most ecological elements nowadays) and the stucco marmo and stucco of plaster.

This workshop has also inaugurated the ground floor of the building in Cuchilleria Street, where the architects, technical architects, restorers e.t.c learnt to make stucco pieces.

Due to this success, Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation wants to organise more workshops in the future.
