As a tourist attraction, Santa María Cathedral caters for visits by the whole family. In addition to guided tours designed specifically for children, an audio-visual show available in Spanish, English and Basque enables young people to get involved in a part of the church’s history. The ten-minute show explains that centuries ago, the portico of Santa Maria was coloured.
There are also activities for children organized regularly. Highlights include music concerts for children, open-air cinema in Basque and Spanish, educational workshops, storytelling and puppet shows.
