Restoration of the cultural heritage

Roofs of the side naves (2015-2016)

The roofs of the side naves of the church have been completely reconstructed with techniques for recovering existing materials—oak wood beams—and by rearranging and restoring the original position of the roof slopes, higher than those previously found.

To complete the re-used structure, new oak wood elements have been introduced in tie beams and supports and braces, and the roof slope has been renovated, with new rafters, double board with thermal and acoustic insulation. The roof tiling has been redone, with new systems for collecting and evacuating water through copper gutters and drainpipes connected to the municipal sewer system.
